Job discription

The role of Senior Paid Search Strategist is newly created within TBAuctions to support the rapid growth across eight brands. Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, you will be responsible for the quality, scalability, and effectiveness of the paid search channels across the group. You will develop and implement a cohesive group-wide strategy aimed at attracting new bidders and sellers while retaining existing customers. Your focus will be on optimizing performance and maximizing Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) for the local brands.

You will work closely with local performance marketers across different countries, supporting them with your expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. Additionally, you will guide international teams in implementing improvements across existing accounts. While you won’t be directly managing the campaigns yourself, you will play a critical role in identifying and leveraging growth opportunities within the paid search channels. To ensure the campaigns run smoothly and to foster effective collaboration with the teams, you will travel to the relevant countries once every 2 to 3 months.

Your Challenges

  • Building Relationships: Establishing strong relationships with local performance marketers and developing an understanding of their diverse working methods and needs;
  • Evaluating and Improving Current Activities: Using your expertise to assess current paid search activities across the brands and identify growth opportunities;
  • Implementing Best Practices: Ensuring optimal structure within current ad accounts by implementing foundational optimizations and best practices;
  • Developing a Long-Term Strategy: Creating a comprehensive group-wide strategy for the next two years, focusing on scalable and performance-driven campaigns;

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality, scalability, and effectiveness of paid search channels across all eight brands under TBAuctions;
  • Define and implement a group-wide strategy with a strong focus on ROAS and scalability;
  • Leverage your expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to fully utilize all functionalities and best practices;
  • Identify and implement optimization opportunities within existing paid search accounts and monitor their roll-out;
  • Collaborate with international colleagues to make cooperative improvements and guide them in optimizing campaigns.

The marketing team currently consists of the CMO, Head of Performance Marketing, CRM Marketeer, two Communication Specialists and Paid Social Media Specialist. 

Who are you?

You are a strategic thinker with a minimum of 5 years of experience in paid search, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience. You possess expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads and have a performance marketing mindset that drives your analytical and fact-based decision-making. Your ability to simplify complex concepts allows you to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks based on their impact. Familiarity with automation and feed management is a plus, as is experience in business-to-business lead generation.

Furthermore, you recognize the following:

  • You are fluent in English, and it’s a plus if you speak another language such as Polish, Norwegian, or Dutch;
  • You have a pleasant demeanor and enjoy collaborating with and supporting others in the marketing industry;
  • It’s a plus if you already have some team leadership experience;
  • You are culturally sensitive;
  • You are open to travel once every 2 or 3 months.

You bring a hands-on approach and strategic vision to TBAuctions, helping local markets optimize and improve their paid search campaigns. You establish best practices, ensure knowledge sharing, and build strong relationships with teams in the Nordics, Benelux, and Continental Europe. Your goal is to develop a cohesive group strategy that maximizes ROAS and makes campaigns scalable.
